The Islamic Center of Long Island would like to invite you to an Islamic Arts Exhibition in Westbury
“The Arts of Islam: Ritual | Beauty | Pattern” will run August 6th through August 27th at Westbury Arts, 255 Schenck Ave, Westbury, NY 11590. Exhibition continues Fridays 2-6 pm and Saturdays/Sundays 12-4 pm. firstname.lastname@example.org.
The exhibition features works by local and international Muslim artists and artisans, plus historical miniatures from the Mughal Empire. Various art forms are included, such as calligraphy, paintings, pottery, and metal works. This community-based Islamic art exhibit is curated by a group from the Islamic Center of Long Island in partnership with Westbury Arts. It illustrates the stylistic, cultural, and historical breadth of Islamic art, and provides a glimpse into the daily life of the 80,000 Muslims who are part of the greater Long Island community.
RSVP REQUIRED FOR THE OPENING RECEPTION, to be held on August 6th, 7-9 pm.
